Susie Magazine

I added a link to my blog today - attempting to help Susie Magazine get on the shelves at WalMart! I have been a reciepent of this AMAZING magazine since the very first issue was created/mailed! EVERY TEENAGE GIRL should have one in her possession! To be honest, I'm excited because, if we can get this magazine on the shelves, I can purchase extra copies to hand out to all the girls I know!

Well, this is it! It's 2012 - the year I become a grandmother! My son and his wife are expecting a miracle on or about August 18th! I am so excited I can hardly stand it!

A little over a year ago, when Peter told me he found THE ONE (Chelsea) - the idea of becoming a grandmother did NOT appeal to me. It wasn't that I didn't want grandchildren, it was more than I didn't think I was ready to be a grandmother. I think I started preparing myself at that very moment - and today, I'm ecstatic!

I know Peter and Chelsea are going to be wonderful parents and I am extremely excited for them. Please join me in prayer this year for all three of them (Peter, Chelsea AND Baby Kubesh!).

The End to a Fabulous Year

As I sit alone, the last morning of 2011, I consider the past year and contemplate the new one. I love New Years - as I ponder things about myself I would like to change.

A couple of days ago, I couldn't help but hear a word repeating over and over in my mind - one I didn't want to hear and tried to avoid - because it isn't FUN! But honestly, I think God was speaking it to me - because I need to make changes! Although it is one simple word, it encompasses many aspects of life.

The word - D I S C I P L I N E

I don't like that word! I don't like what it infers (at least to me): responsibility (to myself), commitment and dedication (even when I don't want to!), doing things I NEED to do (but may not WANT to do). I see 2012 as a year of discipline - much needed discipline.

Although I'm fearful, I KNOW God has a lot to teach me! I will be obedient.
