Deadly Pursuit is the second novel in Irene Hammond's “Guardians of Justice” series, and it's FABULOUS! (Which means I have to go out and purchase Book 1!)This book not only keeps you on the edge of your seat, but you find yourself completely lost in the characters' world! This book summarizes the reason I love to read fiction - you can totally escape reality!
Let me list a few of the reasons I enjoy this book:
1. The relationship between the romantically blooming couple is adorable! The way they meet is commical and believable-knowing how families want to help each other (But is it really helping if it doesn't work out?).
2. I also like the way the couple's relationship is portrayed. They live their own completely fulfilled lives, sharing moments of joy, without giving themselves away; which is the way a healthy relationship SHOULD be. The youngesters of today need to be reassured that we live WITH one another, not FOR one another. GOD is the only One we should strive to please and live for!
3. The twists and turns of the story keep you engaged! Just when you think it's safe to go outside, you find out it's NOT! (I couldn't help myself on that one!)
