Called to Stand for My Beliefs
I have been reminded over and over the past few days, I need to stand for my beliefs. The beliefs I feel passionate about, that play a very personal role in my life. The belief I am referring to is Every Human's Right to LIFE (which I believe begins at conception).
I want to be clear why I am taking this stand - because I feel STRONGLY I need to be a voice for those who have no voice (the unborn). Due to my own circumstances, I can relate to this issue in a way others CAN NOT. The precious gift of life could have been taken from me, preventing my existence (and my children's and grandchildren's).
I also want to be clear what I'm NOT doing; I am NOT JUDGING others (if they made a decision to abort a child). I would tell you to seek help if you are not allowing God's forgiveness to comfort you. Jesus came for ALL OF US; we are all sinners and all fall short! I am NOT pretending to be perfect or better than anyone else.
I simply feel God called me to make a difference! And I believe He wants me to STAND/WALK/SPEAK for those who can't. It's time to be BOLD!

Still On Target with my Bible Reading Plan - Day 14!
Matthew
13-14 When Jesus got the news, he slipped away by boat to an out-of-the-way place by himself. But unsuccessfully—....When he saw them coming, he was overcome with pity and healed their sick.
22-23 With the crowd dispersed, he climbed the mountain so he could be by himself and pray. He stayed there alone, late into the night.
29-30Jumping out of the boat, Peter walked on the water to Jesus. But when he looked down at the waves churning beneath his feet, he lost his nerve and started to sink. He cried, “Master, save me!”
31 Jesus didn’t hesitate. He reached down and grabbed his hand.
34-36 When the people got wind that he was back, they sent out word through the neighborhood and rounded up all the sick, who asked for permission to touch the edge of his coat. And whoever touched him was healed.

Why Tell Stories?
10 The disciples came up and asked, “Why do you tell stories?”
11-15 He replied, “You’ve been given insight into God’s kingdom. You know how it works. Not everybody has this gift, this insight; it hasn’t been given to them. Whenever someone has a ready heart for this, the insights and understandings flow freely. But if there is no readiness, any trace of receptivity soon disappears.
The Meaning of the Harvest Story
18-19 “Study this story of the farmer planting seed. When anyone hears news of the kingdom and doesn’t take it in, it just remains on the surface, and so the Evil One comes along and plucks it right out of that person’s heart. This is the seed the farmer scatters on the road.
20-21 “The seed cast in the gravel—this is the person who hears and instantly responds with enthusiasm. But there is no soil of character, and so when the emotions wear off and some difficulty arrives, there is nothing to show for it.
22 “The seed cast in the weeds is the person who hears the kingdom news, but weeds of worry and illusions about getting more and wanting everything under the sun strangle what was heard, and nothing comes of it.
23 “The seed cast on good earth is the person who hears and takes in the News, and then produces a harvest beyond his wildest dreams.”
44 “God’s kingdom is like a treasure hidden in a field for years and then accidentally found by a trespasser. The finder is ecstatic—what a find!—and proceeds to sell everything he owns to raise money and buy that field.
45-46 “Or, God’s kingdom is like a jewel merchant on the hunt for excellent pearls. Finding one that is flawless, he immediately sells everything and buys it.
47-50 “Or, God’s kingdom is like a fishnet cast into the sea, catching all kinds of fish. When it is full, it is hauled onto the beach. The good fish are picked out and put in a tub; those unfit to eat are thrown away. That’s how it will be when the curtain comes down on history. The angels will come and cull the bad fish and throw them in the garbage. There will be a lot of desperate complaining, but it won’t do any good.”
